The
Retreat will convene at the Ramada Gateway Hotel (see details
below) on February 19, 20 & 21, 2009 , from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. In the
unlikely event that our work is not complete by 5:00 p.m. on the last day of the
Retreat, it may be necessary to stay for a somewhat longer period that
evening.
The meeting will be held at the:
Ramada Gateway Hotel
7470 Highway 192 West
Kissimmee, Florida 34747
Phone: (407) 396-4400
FAX: (407) 396-4320 Be sure to give the
Reservation Code: LSS Seminars
The meetings will convene in the meeting room in the
Ramada Gateway Hotel Conference Center. As usual, if you're not staying at the
Retreat hotel, please send your
$50.00 contribution to the Council's address below to help with meeting
room charges and to reserve your seat at the Retreat.
All meetings will be held at this hotel, so we
recommend that you stay here for the entire Retreat. We've negotiated a
room rate for our members of $49.00 plus tax, single or double.
Be sure to ask the hotel for the Council's group rate -- they will not
volunteer it! If you fail to ask, we won't fight your battle for you with the
front desk.
BADGES:
Retreat attendees must have a Florida Land Surveyor’s Council badge in order to attend this
Retreat.
Also, to receive full credit for this Retreat, be sure to
bring your surveyor’s seal. The Florida Land
Surveyor’s Council Latin motto is "Agrimensores Defendentes Jura Agrorum
Dominorum." In English, this translates to "Surveyors Protecting the Property
Right of Landowners." This motto is proudly displayed on your badge along with
our logo. For those of you who want to order your badges now, the current
price for the badges is $20.00. To order your badge, contact us immediately in
order that your badge can be ready for the Retreat.
PEER REVIEW:
By the way, we'll be having our usual "Peer Review"
at this Retreat, so you must bring three (3) survey drawings to be
admitted! -- No Excuses!
MANDATORY CONTINUING EDUCATION
